5 Items I Found to be Helpful from Birth to 3 months

Good morning and happy Friday! Over the course of the last few months, I found that certain items really benefited both Paulie and I during the first three months. Here is my list:

  1. Boppy Pillow

The boppy pillow has four uses depending on the child’s age, but from 1 to 3 months, it is used for breastfeeding. I found that this pillow really helped to make breastfeeding more comfortable for me. For the first month, Paul had a tongue and lip tie; making latching difficult. This pillow allowed both of my hands to be free to focus on getting a good latch rather than holding Paul in position. The boppy worked for two positions: the cradle hold and the football hold.

2. Newborn Boppy Lounger

This lounger was awesome. It was comfortable for Paul and it allowed him to lounge any where with us.

3. Rock and Play

My poor baby was colic, and spit up all the time. He was sleeping in the bassinet for the first month, but then he started choking on his spit up. I can’t express how much the Rock and play helped Paulie’s colic and sleep. He rarely spit up when sleeping in it, and he slept between 5 and 7 hours a night. This is a must have for colic babies!

4. Swaddle me

These were great when trying to sooth Paul to sleep. We didn’t have to worry about them unwrapping and they helped him sleep through the night.

5. Mittens

In many of the early pictures of Paul, you will notice scratches on his face. These mittens really helped with preventing him from scratching himself.

Thank you for reading, I hope you have a wonderful and happy day!
